AIM: Advanced Illness Management is a palliative medicine consultative service targeting a higher quality of life for patients living with serious illness. Palliative medicine, a medical specialty, focuses on the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of a person and coordinates patient-centered care at any age and at any point in their illness. Care is provided by a palliative medicine provider with expertise in symptom management. Chaplain and medical social work services are also available. Your specialist works closely with your physician or specialist to provide an extra level of care.
AIM is a collaboration between Appalachian Regional Healthcare System and Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care.
