  • About

Blind Squirrel Brewery, Ziplines, and Lodge is a true destination resort located in Plumtree, NC; the Heart of Avery County. Our historic facilities boast a wide range of attractions, bringing people to the beautiful Toe River Valley for a unique and vibrant experience. Our taproom and restaurant features a farm to table concept utilizing produce from our own gardens and local ingredients whenever possible. We are proud to serve over a dozen rotating varieties of our own beer on tap. Our beer is made with only the freshest ingredients using unfiltered, pure mountain water from a deep water aquifer. Be sure to take the opportunity to dine in our Beer Garden or on our beautiful river decks. We offer river tubing and disc golf on site and this region, and the North Toe River specifically, are world renowned for great trout fishing.
Blind Squirrel Ziplines and Farm Retreat is our developed campground located one mile from the taproom, with a complimentary shuttle service connecting the campground to our main facilities on the weekends. With options ranging from tent camping, full hook up RV, primitive shelters, fully furnished cabins, and private rooms, there is lodging available for all preferences. This property is also home to our canopy zipline tours. With over fifteen features to explore, our canopy tour is a destination unto itself! We host another full eighteen hole disc golf course here as well as a stocked trout pond for fishing.
