About Us

Lutherock Camp and Conference Center offers adventure programs year-round for children, youth, adults, and families as well as comfortable mountain lodging options for any and all occasions.

Lutherock is located on the south slope of Sugar Mountain near Boone, North Carolina on 750 acres. Lutherock is known for its picturesque mountain terrain and Outdoor Adventure Program. Programs are provided year-round for children, youth, adults, and families. In addition to providing programs, groups also come to Lutherock to plan their own meeting or retreat. The property includes beautiful hiking trails, high-ropes courses, low-ropes courses, rock climbing, skiing ….and more!

Lutherock Camp is a camp and conference center of the North Carolina, South Carolina, Southeastern and Florida/Bahama Synods of the, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Lutherock is accredited by the American Camping Association.

Lutherock is a year round ministry that offers an extensive summer camping program that includes on-site programs for 3rd-5th grade youth, confirmation camp for confirmands, an outdoor adventure program for 6th-12th grade youth, and fun for all ages with our Grandkids-n- Me program.

In addition, Lutherock offers retreat rental opportunities for the other ten months of the year (mid August- mid May) including sponsored ski retreats, men’s Fly Fishing retreats, women’s wellness retreats, environmental education retreats, and family weekends amongst other retreat opportunities. Our site is also available for rental use by individuals or congregational and school groups.
