About Us
Overlook Barn is a wedding and events venue on top of Beech Mountain that started in 2015 when the owners, Katie Elder and David Schumann, renovated it for their own wedding. The barn was built for horse trail rides in the 1960s by Katie's grandfather and later used as a storage area by Katie's uncle. After lovingly renovating it and getting married themselves, the owners opened it up to the public. Since then, Overlook Barn has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings and Southern Living, and has been named a Top New Venue in the US by the Venue Report.
