About Us

Sallie J. Woodring is a descendent of the Banners who founded the town of Banner Elk, NC. Having lived in Avery County most of her life, she has a great love for the Blue Ridge Mountains. Since 2013, she has been on a journey to capture the beauty in God's world and His nature. Sallie and her husband travel Avery County and the High Country area to capture the beauty of this diverse area. Many of the backroads they explore are rarely visited or seen by those visiting the area. The Blue Ridge Parkway is also one of Sallie's favorite areas for photography. Sallie's work can be seen in businesses throughout the mountain region, and she has a gallery at Fred's General Mercantile on Beech Mountain. For more information on purchasing her work, please contact her at decades1@hotmail.com or visit her website.
