About Us

South Valley Garden Center is a family-owned and operated small business located in the heart of western North Carolina's High Country between Newland, NC and Linville Falls, NC.

South Valley Garden Center is a full-service garden center providing premium quality annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, cut flowers, produce, and more. Our goal is to serve our local communities in Avery County, Mitchel County, and McDowell Counties by supplying only the highest quality materials at affordable prices to ensure your or your client’s projects have long term success.

South Valley Garden Center's goal is to be the High Country’s go-to garden center for homeowners, landscapers, hobby gardeners, project managers, and florists

Our Buchanon family has decades of experience in the wholesale nursery industry.

We chose to serve our community in an additional, more accessible capacity by establishing a retail sales yard that is open to the public as well as providing local landscapers and florists with all their project needs. We have everything from hanging baskets and B&B shrubs, specialty conifers and a large assortment of Japanese Maples, to fresh cut flowers and farm-fresh produce. Our network stretches from coast-to-coast and even into Canada. If you come to our garden center and cannot find what you’re looking for, ask a member of our team and we will get it for you in a timely manner!
