About Us

Studio 140 provides a space for David Banegas and Kent Paulette to create paintings in scenic downtown Banner Elk. Being surrounded by the beautiful North Carolina mountains provides inspiration for both artists. It's an open studio so it provides a space for the community to come by and see the artists at work. The artists enjoy talking with people and explaining their creative process.

PAINTING WORKSHOPS
Learn from experienced artists what you need in order to paint your first painting. Then receive instruction from our artists how to setup your canvas and achieve your oil painting subject. We have classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced.

DALO ART CHALLENGE
The Daloart Challenge is presented to artists that want to get started and make a name for themselves and sell some of their work in Studio 140 Art Gallery in Banner Elk.
