About Us
Our mission is to transform our High Country community by nurturing and empowering our children so that they live HEALTHY, ENGAGED and FULFILLED LIVES.
To transform our community and make the brightest futures possible for our youth, WYN is addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their consequences through trauma-informed interventions and advocacy.
In Avery County we serve local youth through the WYN Avery Mentoring program, where children are matched with an adult role model that will listen and support them as they maintain a special friendship.
We also have the WYN Avery Community Health Program which works to create a healthy, more equitable environment for youth and families. Specifically in Avery County, we offer initiatives to help eliminate underage drinking and vaping use.
